Dr Bernard Conlon

Dr Conlon is the leading general practitioner at the Murupara Medical Centre. Murupara is his home.
He is highly trusted by his communities of Murupara, Galatea, Kaingaroa, Te Whaiti, Minginui and Ruatāhuna. Dr Conlon has provided manaaki and support to four generations of these communities over the 30 years since arriving in Te Ika Whenua.
Many of his patients describe him as a member of their whānau, beloved by many of his patients including elders of the communities he serves. An Irish man with mana, who is honest and goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Dr Conlon is well-known for house visits and respected for his investigative nature. He works in consultation with his patients by understanding their conditions and providing advice or he will do further research before providing the most viable treatment options as well as the pros and cons so patients can make an informed decision on how they want to move forward.
He is a member of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP). Dr Conlon and his wife, Dr Britta Noske were named Bay of Plenty Local Heros of 2020 at the Kiwibank's New Zealanders' of the Year for their work as part of the Murupara Medical Centre.
