Kindness and empathy

11 January 2022

Mihi mai ki a Tj, Monique, Jade and Seth Manawatu who live in Thornton. (From left to right)

On behalf of her whānau, Mum, Monique, penned the following in support of Dr Bernard Conlon and Dr Britta Noske. Here’s her story….

Both Dr Conlon and Dr Noske have helped our whānau immensely!

Dr Conlon is the GP who finally put our family on a path to health and wellness. He had a massive task that I fought against for years, but I acknowledge his help in supporting me to find a weight management method.

I can’t thank him enough for his care because he connects with his patients. He researches his patients’ concerns personally and uses his experience, expertise and life experience to consider all possible options. He gives a personalised, educated, science and data-based analysis.

Dr Noske is the same she exudes a wealth of knowledge, expertise, warmth and genuine care. She provided great manaaki (care) for our daughter who suffers from high anxiety. Dr Noske offered a lot of advice to help our daughter on her life healing journey. Dr Noske is second to none!

We temporarily moved our records to another medical practice when we moved out of Murupara because of a need to find medical care closer to us. That was after a year of travelling backwards and forwards to the Murupara Medical Centre. Gosh, I can only say that after the second appointment with another practice - I made the decision that we would be transferring back ‘quick-smart’ to the surgery in Murupara.

Our whānau has and will continue to fully support both doctors just as they do our whānau.

They are what their profession needs, a couple who truly cares. They are GPs who walk the talk and both live kindness and empathy. We, the Manawatu whānau, believe in you both. Thank you!
