Anishia Reti

Mihi mai ki a Anishia Reti who shares her story on behalf of her Mum and Dad, Maryanne and Peter Reti.

Here’s what she wrote….

Thank you, Dr Bernard Conlon and all the staff, at the Murupara Medical Centre on behalf of both my parents who have passed away.

My Dad, who lived with type two diabetes for many years, was a patient of Dr Conlon’s since he arrived in Murupara 30 years ago. Dr Conlon treated Dad, who died in 2013, and managed to help him to change his lifestyle.

While Mum, who lived with numerous ailments including a heart condition, was looked after by many of the doctors at the surgery including Dr Conlon and Dr Britta Noske who were all dedicated to Mum’s well-being right up until she passed away two years ago. Our whānau assumed Mum would pass away before Dad but she fought hard, and many thanks to the surgery team who helped her pull through many times.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the dedication and manaaki the staff there including all the nurses provided to my parents. There were so many times they went over and beyond for our parents. They made home visits and would stay open later to wait on test results as well as during the weekend.

I just want to thank you so much, Dr Conlon, Dr Noske and the surgery for everything you did for my parents, our whānau is really appreciative to you.

Ngā mihi,

Anishia Reti
